Optimist Hiking Bench

Need some help building up those hiking muscles?

Below you will find photos of a hiking bench made from 1/2" plywood and Doug Fir 2x4's. The holes were made with a drill with a hole saw blade. It took about two hours to make, and was made with saved scrap wood. Drywall screws were used to fasten the plywood to the 2x4's. The tools used were a skilsaw, a drill with a holesaw blade, and a drill with phillips bit to screw in the drywall screws. The 2x4's were ripped down to 2-1/2".

The hiking bench includes a mainsheet which is attached to a bungee to practice sheeting.
