56 Optis at the Gorge!

Special thanks to David Shaner, Jan Visser/US Sailing, The Columbia Gorge Racing Association, The Seattle Yacht Club and all the dedicated volunteers from these groups for hosting this years Ripple racing clinic and the USODA West Coast Championships.

The clinic and regatta is now finished, and a record attendance was present with competitors travelling from Annapolis, Houston, Vancouver BC, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and of course the Gorge itself. It was definitely the largest and most competitive Championship fleet the West Coast has seen yet. The general consensus is we need to make the Gorge an annual event. The San Francisco Yacht Club will be hosting the 2008 San Francisco Bay Championships on October 4th and 5th. More details to come.
